  NEWS UPDATES! 

 

 Bell Ringing It’s time to sign up for Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army.  Sign up sheets are in the Fellowship Hall or call Bud LaFayette.

 

UMM Breakfast  November 22 at 9:00am United Methodist Men and the United Methodist Women invite the congregation and general  public to a brunch on Saturday Nov. 22 .  At the brunch, John Sublett will present a 20 to 30 minute slideshow. A “continental” style breakfast will be served.

 

Columbarium Questions and Answer discussion period.  It is Nov. 25 at 10:15 in the Lamp Room.  Come learn more about what a Columbarium is and how it would work to establish one

 

Thanksgiving Eve Service Nov. 26 at 7:00pm here at WUMC.  This service is open to the whole community.  We will hear from Wayfarer graduates.

 

Wayfarer's Center with Thanksgiving Dinner: Ways to help: Donate your time preparing Thanksgiving Dinner  Thursday, Nov. 27, 10:00 am- noon, help serve Thanksgiving Dinner  Thursday, Nov. 27, 1:00 to 3:00 pm, donate a turkey to be cooked and served on Thanksgiving, purchase and drop off at the church, or call Karen Hannum @ 758-2031 to have it picked up, make a large jello salad ahead of time that will be served on Thanksgiving, provide entertainment during the dinner Thursday, Nov. 27, 1:00 to 3:00 pm.  If you want to help, contact Karen Hannum after the service or call 758-2031

 

Advent Classes:

            Come to the Manger with John Flory leading beginning Nov. 30 at 10:10am.  A second group could be formed for a mid-week class if there is interest.

            Hurry Less, Worry Less will begin the week of Nov. 17 afternoon and evening on the day of most interest.

            From Holidays to Holy Days will begin the week of Dec. 7 pn the evening of sufficient sign-ups.

Sacred Shorelines (Nov. 16 at 5:30) a dramatic, panoramic visual and music meditation on the spiritual gift of the coastline in our lives featuring photographs and narration by Rev. Don Baldwin.  Potluck Dinner begins at 5:30 and Visual Experience to follow.
