Ministry Teams

These are some of the many groups and ministries we have within our church.

Adult Education and Small Group Leaders - Leader, Rev. Ardith Allread
Members of this team are trained in leading small groups and will help facilitate our growing
number of small group experiences.

Amnesty International - Leader, Roger Hothem
Since 1982, our church has participated in Amnesty International's (AI) Urgent Action Network.
The fourth Sunday of every month, members of the congregation are given the opportunity to write letters on behalf of an individual or group somewhere in the world whose human rights are being violated. The Amnesty Ministry Team educates the congregation regarding the various cases and assists people with the writing of original letters or the signing of pre-printed letters addressed to governmental officials on behalf of the prisoners.
For more information on Amnesty International, see their website: http://www.amnestyusa.org/

Care and Repair - Board of Trustees
This team undertakes repair and maintenance tasks around the church. It is great for those with handy skills who can help keep our historic building in good repair.

Children's Ministry - Leaders, Sedona Cassevah and Tanya Provencher

They teach the Sunday morning classes of children ages preschool through sixth grade.

Children’s Story Time
This team provides a story time for children during the 9 a.m. worship service before they go to Children's Church. Members of this team will be assigned specific Sundays to bring a story to the children.  We are always looking for new storytellers.  If you are interested, please contact the office.

Choirs - Music Director, Jay Surdell
Music is a vital ministry in our worship.  We have choirs for adults, children, and youth singers, as well as hand bell players. Each choir participates in worship services.  A contemporary-style band and singers participate in the Celebrate! service.

Communion Stewards - Leader, Lisette Henderson
The Communion Stewards prepare and assist in serving the elements for our monthly communion services. Some members of the team also minister to the homebound by taking Communion to them.

Drama - Leader, Michael Sanna
This team prepares dramatic sketches to enhance our worship services.
The team includes actors and those who assist with props and staging.

Fellowship Team - Leader, Tanya Provencher
This team helps to bring our church together in Fellowship, such as arranging potlucks, picnics, and other get-togethers for the church, and sometimes the entire community to enjoy.

Greeters - Leader, John Hoover
We have greeters who welcome worshipers and seek to make newcomers feel at home among us at both our 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. services.

Hospitality - Leader, Loretta Frank
Extending a warm welcome to newcomers and to all who come to worship on Sunday morning is the business of this team that provides greeters and coffee hour hosts.

Kitchen Upkeep - Leader, Kaye Juhler
The kitchen of our church is used by many groups and is an important part of our facility.
This team provides for the care and development of this resource.

Library - Leader, Carol Conn
The Library team oversees the church library, seeks additions, and then promotes reading in the church.

Liturgists - Leader, Pastor
The liturgists participate in Sunday morning worship by leading prayers, reading scripture,
and assisting with serving Communion.

New Member Welcome - Leaders, Loretta Frank and Myrna Schroyer

We craft our shawls with prayers and love, and are blessed to be able to provide them to people in need.  Whether you are an old hand or just learning to knit or crochet, please join us for fellowship.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets every 2nd Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel.

Quilters Team - Leader, Carol Ishikawa - Quilters Page
